I am a General Practitioner who is passionate about forming an outstanding relationship with patients. In 2013 I established Atticus Health, a medical clinic located in Carrum. I continue to develop this practice into a unique and accessible resource for local communities. Thanks to the support of our patients and tireless work of all staff, over the years we have managed to grow to service the areas of Melbourne CBD, Bayside, South East Melbourne, Gippsland, the Mornington Peninsula, Hamilton Island and Central Queensland. In addition to running medical clinics, today Atticus Health provides services in these key areas:- Aged Care - as one of the largest providers of medical services to residential aged care facilities in the South East of Melbourne. - Telehealth - nationally via our Doctor in My Pocket (www.doctorinmypocket.com.au) service. - Corporate HealthTogether with my wife, Dr Nathalie Gomes, in 2020 I created and commenced manufacturing a local healthy energy and immunity drink, e15. The drink is intertwined with a comic character we also created named Dratticus. Comics are just something I've always loved! e15 is a product I am most proud of introducing. As a drink incorporating our medical knowledge, built to deliver real sustainable energy and bolster the immune system, it stands apart. In 2022, a long term aspiration of mine, to combine home care and health care finally made it into the world. Mark & Sylvie's Home Care, named in memory of my late parents, supports elderly people live at home for as long as they can. It does this by integrating home and health care, releasing synergy and empowering all involved. I feel very passionate about this cause. On a personal level, I find myself humbled by my opportunity to be alive really and going from that standpoint, live life to the full. I have found being around children inspiring and feel blessed that my life and more correctly, my wife, has brought into this world five wonderful children. I have always been drawn to the coast and lose myself quickly watching waves splashing on virtually any beach. I enjoy running and communiting on my push bike. I'm lucky mum dragged me to so many nurseries as a kid (though I didn't know it then) such that I ended up loving plants, watching them grow, particuarly Australian natives. My attitude towards life is that anything is possible, and that, as Walter D Wintle would have it, "it all begins with a state of mind". In that vein, I view the world with optimism, and continue to forge partnerships built on trust and integrity.
