I was responsible for enforcing strict safety protocols and guidelines, establishing training initiatives and succession planning, and liaising between employees and management to create a positive workplace. I created and managed projects to support HR transformation functions, develop and train staff for succession strategies, and build positive teams dedicated to achieving common goals. My task was to maintain compliance, promote safe practices and oversee employees, contractors and vendors.★ Identifying and recruiting quality candidates, I increased staffing by 20% during company growth, and directed all aspects of human resources and benefits management for a $100 Million company. We maintained less than 1% turnover during my leadership.★ I spearheaded safety protocol education and enforcement, monitored compliance and conducted investigations for Health, Safety and Environmental functions. My projects included an Air Permit capacity increase, a PSM audit and its associated actions, legal discoveries and depositions, and regulatory agency responses.★ Reporting to the Board, I oversaw a multi-employer 401(k) Safe Harbor Plan. I researched employee inquiries and performed fiduciary duties and function to maintain the Plan in compliance with regulatory requirements.★ One achievement was creating a benefits survey in collaboration for 3 other industry HR managers. This remains in use by over 120 different chemical manufacturers. I supported a network of loosely affiliated HR leaders dedicated to creating industry-related data compliant with antitrust regulations. ★ I was also selected to chair, facilitate and speak at conferences for Various Chemical Companies (VCC) of Texas and Louisiana, discussing HR and Employee Relations issues and solutions.
