Responsible for identifying and implementing projects including but not limited to improving plant operations, production efficiencies, maintenance, and utility consumption. Design work and obtain costs for projects assigned including determining optimal equipment and layouts for improving or expanding the plant operations and making major repairs to the systems and buildings. Directly planning, organizing, directing and controlling the efforts of other technical people toward the successful completion of projects. Control project expenditures, develop and administer schedules and resolve conflicts that may hinder the successful completion. Acting as a consultant to the maintenance department and maintenance supervisors at all sites, on the development and implementation of P.M. programs, lubrication programs, safety programs, effective maintenance practices, and solving technical problems. Coordinate and direct the activities of the necessary resources within all plants, outside the maintenance department for the completion of projects through the necessary plant management and supervisory personnel.

Monitor Departmental safety, quality, and cost performance and provide leadership and support to enhance desired performance and behavior. Perform job training and instruction of maintenance technicians regarding proper PM maintenance methods and procedures. Maintained company assets both in a preventative maintenance and “on the run” repair for the printing industry. Equipment such as printing presses, inserters, plate making, packaging/banding equipment, conveyor systems, pumps, motors, etc.. Established and maintained a Preventative Maintenance program on all facets of printing equipment. Instill an electronic maintenance program. Purchasing and redesign of parts needed for the department along with creating, overseeing, and maintaining of both departmental and project budgets. Managed 26 men in an Union enviroment for a 365 day/24 hr manufacturing facility with tight deadlines. Instrumental in the development of effective Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs within the facility. Field representative for design modification, and/ or maintenance outages for the power utilities. Including Coal, Gas, and Nuclear fired reactors. All types of machining work, both in the shop and in the field, on power generation equipment.
