As Assistant Rig Manager, I had the pleasure and challenge to work with many diversities team, units, and managers within Maersk Drilling Norway. Daily duties consist of leading subcontractor’s, project management, commercial support, drilling ops, authority- and costumer relations and holding deputy obligation in leading 150 offshore workers in a safe and high performing environment. As a Performance Coach, I was part of ensuring, that the deployed of a new optimizing system in Maersk Drilling (PDSA) was properly utilized by management on drilling units across the globe and became the key stone of the daily work process. Thus, I have coach and provided support to the rig management on how to manage and distribute in the new system. Coaching team´s and personally improvement has also been a big part of my tasks. Organised sessions on maintaining safety, optimising performance, and increasing customer satisfaction (using e.g. Lean & Kaizen methodology) Equally I have researched techniques solutions for aligning on customer´s needs for operational success, implemented initiatives to seek global performance improvement.

During this period, I developed the ability to manage the significant responsibility of ensuring a 24/7 offshore operation runs smoothly and safely. Achieving this requires meticulous planning, constant vigilance, and a strong emphasis on teamwork across all levels. I learned how to balance both short-term and long-term goals, coordinating efforts to maintain efficiency while upholding the highest safety standards. This experience also deepened my leadership skills, allowing me to guide teams effectively and implement organized operational routines, such as structured on-the-job training. Throughout my time offshore I have work in various countries: Denmark, Egypt, Venezuela, Australia, USA, Vietnam & Norway.

The property company Svend Aage Sorensen A/S performed many different tasks, both ordinary renovation, new building, facade treatment, etc. As a construction manager I was in charge for all our suppliers and our business partners. Likewise, I was responsible for the daily execution of all construction and renovation plans and for negotiating with sub-contractors. I am proud, that throughout the period, I always delivered on time and within budget

During this period, I was self-employed with my masonry and construction company. As an independent contractor, I was responsible for everything from daily planning and execution, budgeting, inventory management, purchasing and accounting to all sales and negotiations with customers, partners, and other stakeholders. The most important thing I learned is, if you truly listen to the customer and understand them, only then you can make the best delivery.
