I am a passionate and adaptable Junior Software Developer who loves learning new technologies and building exciting web applications with real-world applications.I recently completed an intensive Software Development Bootcamp at Northcoders, where I developed my skills in full-stack development using JavaScript, React, Node.js, Next.js, and Express.js. I built several projects, including a news web app and Hidden Gems, where users post and find hidden gems in their area using Leaflet and Firebase, made with self-developed RESTful APIs. All were developed using Test Driven Development (TDD), helping to create clean accessible code.I have been creating dynamic user interfaces with React and Next.js, assessing accessibility, and optimising performance using WAVE and Lighthouse. On the backend, I’ve developed robust APIs using PostgreSQL databases and Express. I also enjoy working in collaborative settings, using paired programming and Git version control to work successfully in teams.I previously worked as a Geography Teacher, developing strong skills in problem-solving, adaptability, resilience, patience, and communication. These skills will allow me to excel in the software development industry.I am excited to begin a new challenge and improve on the skills I have already started developing. I am eager to make meaningful contributions to projects with real-world applications and join a new team where I can continue to progress and make a real impact.
