Working as an Infrastructure Architect with focus on security.

Working as a security and networking consultant focusing on Check Point firewalls and Cisco Wireless networking.

Working at the Infrastructure department as team leader for the networking team.As of now my to major responsibilities are network infrastructure and data-center environment.During 2010 I worked as project manager on the construction of a new data-center at campus Växjö. This included everything from design, ordering of the construction, overseeing the construction and later on installing and configuring the network infrastructure.The next bigger project here was migrating into a common wireless network at our three campuses, Växjö, Kalmar and Nybro. We were moving from an older Cisco wireless environment in Växjö and an older Trapeze wireless environment in Kalmar and Nybro to a new common Cisco Wireless solution for all three campuses. We have also migrated from Cisco WCS to the newer Cisco Prime NCS and added a mobility services engine to the wireless infrastructure.

When I started my position here one of the first major projects I got was to upgrade the two core routers of the university. A redesign of routing protocols used, removing support for appletalk and IPX.During the following years I did a total redesign of the topology and my focus was to create a very stable and redundant design of the network. I also upgraded the backbone to gigabit speed all over the campus.Another big project was to introduce wireless networking to the campus environment. This started out with about 50 autonomous access-points when we decided to adopt the, at the time, recently new technology with light-weight access-points. This installation expanded rather quickly to about 200 access-points and a redundant controller-environment.I also spent about a year working with the board of people responsible for the IT-fusion between Växjö Univeritet and Högskolan i Kalmar merging into Linnéuniversitetet.The fusion provided a couple of large projects in the network, merging LAN, WAN, VPN/Firewall.

Worked 50% at the strategic advisoryboard as a project manager. The projects I worked on were for example:Dismantling the student network provided by the university and helping the landlords getting connected again through other providers. Upgrading the university's telephone system including switchboard, voicemail and support systems.

Mainly worked with network management and implementation and design of network topologies. Started to work with wireless networks in the end of 2001 and added wireless 'hotspots' with autonomous access-points.I also worked part time with support of computers and services provided by the IT-department.
