I recently completed a PhD in Health Economics at the University of California, San Diego. Through the program, I've developed expertise in causal inference and machine learning techniques, and knowledge of the US healthcare industry and policy environment. My dissertation research focuses on hospital group-level price elasticities of supply, and coding intensity in the Medicare Advantage marketplace. Broadly, I am interested in how design features of national health systems impact social welfare and macroeconomic performance.I serve as an analytics and data science consultant at Kaiser Permanente, concurrent with my PhD and prior to it.
