Born and raised in Alaska, I cut my teeth in my father's automotive shop where I was schooled in multiple forms of automotive and mechanical systems maintenance and repair. As a young man, my passion for mobile electronics led a bronze level Mobile Electronic Certified Professional (MECP) certificate, and Custom Electronics Design & Installation (CEDIA) certifications for advanced installer and home theater. Although I'm not currently in the technology field, I still enjoy keeping up-to-date on on electronic trends for a variety of subjects including home audio and video integration, the industrial internet of things, and trends within the fields of electrical, mechanical, and industrial engineering.My Skills, Abilities & Awards include:An Honorable discharge from the USMC in August 2013 with a Good Conduct medal and a Navy Achievement medal.Broad experience and working knowledge of mobile, residential, and commercial low-voltage electronics systems, including data, networking, phone, satellite, distributed audio and automation systems.Competent troubleshooting skills and comprehensive problem solving abilities in mechanical and low-voltage electrical systems.A strong “can do” attitude stemming from a desire to know how and why systems function and to improve their practicality and effectiveness.Strong attention to detail and excellent work ethic.
