Management Operations - Ensure correct and timely issuance of Customs Valuation and Classification Opinions- Identify essential requirements and appropriate methodologies in formulating an appropriate and relevant Valuation and Classification Opinion;- Assess applicable conditions that may distort transaction value and conditions that have been fulfilled;- Assess risk/trade levels of commodity, exporter and importer;- Implement business rules on HS Classification, Customs Valuation and other related or similar references- Evaluate transactions and provide Customs Valuation using applicable valuation methodologies and relevant databases to confirm correctness of prices declared by trade parties Dispute Settlement - Provide assistance in conducting comprehensive investigation and evaluation of Transaction with Classification and/or Valuation Disputes. - Assist in the resolution of Valuation Cases, and other requests and/or inquiries by the utilization of technical expertise on specific goods or commodities.Leadership- Responsible for a small team of analysts- Provide leadership, mentoring and formal positive and negative performance feedback to individuals within the team as required. - Ensure all the deadlines in relation to analysis are completed within service standard time frames- Provide reports on performance of the team in relation with set targets and objectivesDecision Making and Line Management - May be required to make decisions of operational nature (in the absence of the Operations Manager) to ensure that the Manila Valuation and Classification Center targets are obtained.
