Coordinating Manager of the North Miami Gift Cards program that distributed 1,058 Publix gifts cards in the $250.00 denomination to North Miami residents. This program aimed to revitalize the local North Miami economy by taking advantage of Federal, State, and County assistance programs. This program also aimed to ensure the North Miami community received its fair share of assistance during crisis and uncertainty.Executive Secretary of the North Miami Charter Board in charge of preparing the corresponding agenda, minutes and conducting thorough research for all items to be properly discussed. Likewise, I worked closely with the Charter Board Counsel, drafting ordinances, council reports, backup agenda reports, and Charter Board recaps for the review of the Mayor and Council.Led the North Miami 2020 Census Campaign to ensure a complete and accurate count. Duties included implementing strategies based on current trends to raise awareness of the importance of the United States Census for North Miami residents. As we got closer to Census day, I worked with other departments to reach out to hard-to-count communities within North Miami's boundaries to ensure proper analytical predictions of response rates. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, outreach and community events geared towards the 2020 Census in North Miami changed in approach and were focused heavily on social media, radio, and local TV. Acted as Assistant Project Manager for the Disaster Dislocated Worker Program, a reimbursement grant awarded to North Miami, which targeted NoMi residents who found themselves unemployed in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. These residents were hired as city employees through the South Florida Workforce Investment Board (SFWIB) for debris removal within North Miami's boundaries.Project Manager for the Keep North Miami Beautiful program, a Keep America Beautiful Affiliate. Duties included grant writing and reporting as stipulated in the agreement, organizing clean-up, recycling, and neighborhood beautification events such as the Paint-it-Proud project.Participated and organized Earth Day events with the assistance of the Sustainability division to increase awareness of green initiatives in North Miami.Duties as Public Records Liaison remained.
