Enliven is a Canadian national 2nd lien mortgage lender, and via a smartphone app or on-line is a provider of unsecured consumer loans. Recently led the due diligence, negotiations and closing of the acquisition of Spectrum-Canada Mortgage Services Inc. with headquarters in greater Vancouver area and offices in Toronto. Spectrum is registered across Canada as a mortgage brokerage and in addition provides mortgage underwriting, servicing and administration services to a variety of clients. Spectrum has strong business ties to two of Canada's largest banks and over 50 credit unions. This group CFO role includes responsibility for compliance with, and reporting to, each of the regulators across the country.

Greater Vancouver

Worked with owners and their private businesses to address specific opportunities or problematic situations. Assisted 2 entrepreneurs with acquiring the 3rd largest wholesale distributor of paper products in BC. Performed due diligence, negotiated with the vendor, advised on the deal structure, aided in arranging bank credit facility and getting subordinated debt. Assisted a foreign based majority owner of a local business by reviewing the financial statements and reports, then went in to the operations to review day-to-day operations, identified gaps and management deficiencies, drew up and executed a plan to terminate two VP's. Continued on as leader until an external new permanent GM could be identified and transitioned into running the business. At time of Michael's exit the sales and net income were up significantly.

Greater Vancouver

As the CEO of Corporate Transition Group, Michael was directly engaged with clients and was instrumental in determining the options available and creating realistic action plans. He brought his experience and talent to solving the financial and operational challenges of small to medium sized enterprises across the country.

Makham, Ontario

Michael was responsible for strategic leadership, M&A, development of international relationships & alliances, raising financing (banks, other debt, equity), leadership team development, and management of multi-site North American operations. He also dealt with all aspects of public company reporting, compliance and governance of this TSX listed company.

Delta, Bc

Engaged in M&A activity and formed Aimtronics over approximately 16 months by acquiring one private and two public companies to form Canada's then 4th largest electronics manufacturing services provider having over 1200 employees in Kanata (ON), Mississauga (ON), Brockville ON, Ogdensburg (NY) and Delta, (BC), Sales grew to $155 million for fiscal 2001.
