Cofounded and developed a business plan for a community space and elixir bar in south Kona, Hawaii. Farmers market sales showed proof of concept and local demand for our offerings. Unfortunately, extensive permitting delays prevented brick-and-mortar opening.

- Dive-volunteered, researched, conducted interviews and wrote about coral restoration, conservation finance and other solutions to conserve coral reef ecosystems. - Sailed across the Atlantic (the long way) and throughout the Mediterranean in 2019.-Developed cross-cultural experience, including collaborating/interviewing/meeting with local people in Seychelles, Malaysia, Indonesia, Fiji, Palau, Mexico, St. Lucia, Grenada, Tanzania, South Africa, Belize, Malta, Egypt, and Israel.

Wrote a (ISP) paper that analyzed financial model development, as well as the pros and cons of agricultural investment opportunities in the United States.

- Assisted in development of aggregation and supply chain strategy for a 50,000 acre feedstock-to-biofuel farm in the Hawaiian Islands.- Performed agricultural land assessments of every parcel greater than 1000 acres, initiated negotiations with landowners, performed supply chain analysis and developed relationships with elected officials, utility operators and land managers. - Worked independently for three weeks on each major island with little direct supervision.*Written Recommendation available on request.

- Developed and implemented conservation campaigns, cultivated relationships with donors and decision-makers, and managed personnel, finance, communications and operations of the organization. - Surpassed fundraising targets from 2007-2010- Expanded paid personnel by 100%, budget by 70%, and started new projects.

- Managed conservation projects and campaigns, performed scientific and legal analyses of land development proposals, and implemented public education and outreach. - Expanded the “Don't Poach the Powder” campaign by 250%, which was Awarded the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation's “Conservation and Education” award in 2005.

Coordinated public outreach and education for the "Save the Bitterroot" campaign, successful in reducing the US Forest Service's proposed salvage logging project by 80%. - Established the organization's first university coalition.- Led educational field trips to the Bitterroot National Forest post-burn area.- Assisted in development of a wildfire ecology insert for the local newspaper.- Organized events and fundraisers.

Participated in farm internship program at an 6 acre organic farm with a 112-member CSA. Grew lots of tasty vegetables during the summer 2000 heat wave (and wildfire season)!

Worked in various roles with Outward Bound schools in the United States, primarily performing sales and marketing with PCOBS in Portland, OR (January-May 1997) and COBS in Denver, CO (Jan.-Sept. 1998), and also as an instructor and logistician with NCOBS (June-Nov 1996). - Top sales representative with Colorado Outward Bound in 1998.

Co-managed a May Term internship, accredited through Denison University at "The Homestead" an alternative living community of undergraduate students. Taught a one-month environmental sustainability course to 11 university students and helped manage the creation of a 1 acre organic garden.Greatest successes:Wrestled the Homestead's operating budget away from the University so it could be managed by the students. Spent over-budget funds on a new solar water pump, and to rehab the buildings and establish the garden.
