In my professional life, nothing drives and excites me more than making an impact in the lives of small business owners. Whether it is cutting costs or increasing efficiency by the use of processes and technology, the bottom line is money in the bank for the business owner.To achieve this goal, I started my first business in 2006 after my BS and while getting ready to start Grad school. So while in grad school and running my business on the side, I was also working full time as a tax accountant.My side business grew steadily and by the time I left my full time employment in 2008 and then earned a MS in Taxation in 2009, I was already generating enough income to not only support my family but also hire some extra help.The years after were fruitful in a big way. Joined by a former classmate at grad school we acquired AccuPay, Inc, a payroll company in the small business payroll arena. At the time of the acquisition, AccuPay's main focus was After-The-Fact payroll - filing tax returns for CPA's who had processed the actual payroll in-house but need to file the tax returns with the state and federal agencies.We merged the payroll operations of the original company with those of AccuPay to continue expanding our payroll services. Today, we offer full service payroll processing to small businesses up to to 300 employees. We also privately label our cloud based payroll platform for CPA firms, Insurance Agencies and Banks who would like to offer payroll in their own brand. We take care of all the direct deposit and tax filing.As the CEO, I focus on business development and the overall business strategy. During my spare time (when not spending time with my beautiful family), you will catch me reading technology news and articles, marketing strategies and watching sports. I seriously enjoy listening to business audiobooks and podcasts while driving.
