Including the LightcycleTM and Core FlowTM products, redefining the benchmark.Re-built a team and capabilities through re-organisation and tailored recruitments leading to the launch of the exclusive purification technology CryptomicTM.

Recognised by the impact made for delivering fan products, promoted to establish a strong team of 20 engineers and scientists with the ambition of extending technical successes and ways of working across all products.Scoped and delivered the first High Performance Computing (HPC) system for CFD modelling to be part of the design process, accelerating development time by identifying and reducing risks earlier. This facility has now been expanded twice.

Through tenacity and ingenuity, came up with the initial demonstration of the Air MultiplierTM technology (inventor) leading to the now iconic design and a completely new product and category. Led the technical team in the delivery of the technologies and product integration of the fan products. This was achieved by combining simulation techniques (CFD) with a complementary experimental approach making the best use of our in-house rapid prototyping facilities. The design is also used on the hair dryer products.Led the embryonic hand dryer team developing the AirbladeTM technology, integration and development of novel performance tests for superiority claims on hand drying time.

Provided a support function to the product development teams. Vacuum cleaners incorporate a valve to protect the motor from overheating. Revisited this design (DC08TM) ahead of tooling to improve performance, flow rate and operating point. Devised a novel concept based on an aerodynamic servo effect, whose design principle is still in use today.

Alcester

Provided a problem-solving consultancy service (Ansys) and predicted the under-performance of heat exchangers by studying fluid flow maldistribution and fouling. This required a more academic approach and the ability to work with scientific data.Supported the research activities of our proprietary heat transfer enhancement product, hiTRAN®. Publication and presentation at conferences and exhibitions.
