My career was built as an IT Software Engineer over the last 22 years. In the last 12 years, I was responsible for the Information Technology department at Grupo Folha, one of the largest Brazilian media groups.Over the years, I have had the opportunity to lead many Information Technology professionals, delivering lots of successful projects and managing the creation of tens of products from industries as distincts as entertainment and logistics.I have wide experience and knowledge about software engineering, software architecture, infrastructure, agile project management and IT governance.I truly believe:1. Programming is a kind of art (Knuth)2. Prototypes are far better than docs3. Premature optimization is the root of all evil (also Knuth, sorry, I’m a fan)Personally, I have an interest in open-source technology. Close ecosystems don't trigger me. Over the years, I contributed to open-source projects like Cadaver (client for DAV access), Aspseek (search engine mechanism) and PHP (the programming language).At this moment, I invest my time in my construction company, I teach Data Science at Fiap for graduating students and I do some short-term contracts as data scientist/full stack developer while I'm preparing to pursue my PhD.
