Created 10 year telecom plan in coordination with BC Hydro transmission, Generation, and Distribution to accommodate their long term planning requirement, created telecom scope note to provide telecommunication solutions for various stakeholders within BC Hydro, create Telecom Application for designers to initiate implementation, frequency interference analysis, microwave link planning and Line of Sight verification through site visit and path survey.

Reviewed Telecom Application and created design basis, visited sites and field reviewed the exiting equipment and wiring are reflected in the current drawing prior to new design implementation, prepared 30%, 60%, and 90% detailed telecom design packages for pear review, prepared settings and channel authorizations for telecom and teleprotection devices, prepared bill of material, arranged for telecom rack equipment assembly, and shipped the required material to site, supported the field installation and commissioning, reviewed and processed as-builts and participated in project closeout

The Frequency Coordination System Association (FCSA) is a not-for-profit Canadian corporation and an association of organizations that own and operate microwave radio/wireless and satellite communication facilities. FCSA owns, operates and administers a computer and database facility, and a microwave information and coordination system (MICS) software module which is used by its Member organizations in the design, planning, and implementation of their telecommunication systems. FCSA's database contains technical data for over 140,000 terrestrial microwave radio stations and over 3,000 satellite earth stations licensed to operate in Canada, and a large portion of the licensed microwave radio systems located in the frequency coordination zone along the Canada-U.S.A. border.

National RF design and frequency planning for LMCS/LMDS. RF/microwave engineering design tools selection. Establish RF/microwave and transmission engineering database. Integrate the HN telecom frequency re-use planning tool. GOS and terrestrial interference analysis. LMCS/LMDS and Microwave inter and intra-interference analysis. Establish methodology and process to design city backbone network; frequencies, equipment, and T1s leasing vs. microwave radio backhaul. LMCS/LMDS Hub sites selection. Select and recommend point to point equipment for approval. Prepare rooftop site plans to be used as template for hub leasing. Participate in LMCS/LMDS equipment acceptance testing. Execute/monitor LMCS/LMDS trail and national deployment.

Created a functional Microwave/Transmission Engineering department. Plan, design, and implement microwaves backbone and backhaul infrastructure to replace the leased T1, interfacing the ClearNet PCS and iDEN (Mike) cell sites for the Western Canada region. Provide technical support for the implementation and operation department to implement and cutover the new microwave and transmission system. Provide leadership for the microwave/transmission team.

Bids and Proposal support for initial system design, OEM evaluation and qualification. Participate in the site survey and compilation of site survey data and issue identification. Generate all test documentation for the different components of the system as well as the overall system. Manage the overall technical issues related to the assigned project including and close liaison with the R&D group for specific development issues. Integrate all system components in the Integration and Test Facility (ITF) to operate as a complete system. Provide complete implementation support for the system as it is installed and participate in the installation in country as required. Participate in the site acceptance in country with the customer to get sign off on the system operation and functionality
