Data Protection Technical Architect

Primary responsibilities include assisting the Sales reps, Pre-Sales team and Sales Managers to define, position, and present a range of data protection solutions to customers and generating new business by focusing on key strategic market segments, sales engagement, and pipeline management. Primary Technical Specialist for data protection product portfolio (Veritas and Veeam)who assists Softchoice Sales and Presales teams assess customers’ needs and present key technologies and solutions to solve customers’ issues. Maintain the day to day support of data protection offerings while providing support to Sales and Pre-Sales teams as Subject Matter Expert. Responsibilities include creating and obtaining approval on the quarterly business plan tied to objectives. All activities are designed to grow sales of data protection products and services.Expertise:• Expert Knowledge of Backup and Recovery Technologies• Knowledge of the competitive landscape• Strong knowledge of Veritas product line• Strong knowledge of Veeam product line• Archiving Solutions knowledge• Pre-Sales solution selling experience and expertise Activities:• Creating technical solutions• Supporting Sales teams• Positioning Symantec products• Assisting with quoting• Supporting the licensing and buying program• Managing the Data Protection pipeline and attending weekly pipeline calls with Partner Channel Account Managers and Softchoice Management• Reviewing approved deal registrations, quote reports and opportunities in the CRM • Conducting proactive account mapping sessions with Account Exec’s• Liaison with Partner's Marketing team• Participating in vendor events• Working with Softchoice's training organization to craft partner specific training• Developing Product/Program 1 page/cheat-sheets and creating/updating pricing tools/cheat-sheets/best practices• Tracking Revenue, GP, Orders, Deal Reg, Quotes, Top Deals, Pipeline, General Feedback and submit weekly reports
