Luis E. F. Foa Torres (1978) is a Full Professor of Physics at Universidad de Chile (FCFM) in Santiago. Before he served as a tenured Research Scientist (Investigador Independiente) at CONICET and an Associate Professor at the National University of Córdoba in Argentina where he led a team exploring two-dimensional materials and nanodevices at the quantum limit (http://nanocarbon.famaf.unc.edu.ar/). Earlier he worked at the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, at the French Atomic Energy Commission in Grenoble and at the TU-Dresden as a fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. His field of expertise is quantum transport with emphasis on driven systems. Since 2011 he is also an Associate of Trieste's ICTP. Research interests:.
