PH Joannesburg was the first international hotel to open in South Africa and I was part of the opening team. We had to recruit, hire, train, and lead a team of 300 employees.As part of the opening team, my department was responsible for determining staffing levels, salary, benefits, general training, orientation, employee communication, policies and procedures.

Managed and improved an established Training Department by working with the leadership team to understand the training needs of the hotel. Created a more robust and relevant training calendar. Training courses delivered by myself and another trainer.

Part of the opening team for this boutique hotel in downtown Buenos Aires. Major responsibilities were in recruitment (over 200 positions), compensation, benefits and employee communication.
