Senior Transportation Planner / Smarttrips And Public Process ManagerNorth Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization (Nfrmpo) Mar 2006 - Aug 2013Fort Collins, Colorado AreaMr. Fodge served the North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization to oversee the agency’s alternative transportation programs—SmartTrips and VanGo Vanpool Services. He was charged with re-building the program which had recently contracted all staff from Fort Collins, Loveland and Greeley offices into the regional agency. In this capacity, he led the re-branding of the two programs, instituted a new vanpool fare system, selected new vanpool vans, designed business outreach collateral, developed a new ridesharing website (Link), and crafted the annual marketing plans. In 2009, Mr. Fodge assumed all federally-required alternative transportation planning and performance reporting on behalf of the region. He has led or supported large regional planning efforts to include the Long Range Transportation Demand Management Plan (2010), the 2035 Regional Transportation Plan (2011), the US 34 Business Access Control Plan (2013), the Regional Bicycle Plan (2013), and the Congestion Management Process Transportation Performance Report (2011, 2012, and 2013).Mr. Fodge also led large stakeholder events to build support for a transportation ballot initiative and visioning effort for the agency. The 2006 Transportation Summit guided over 270 participants through a facilitated mapping exercise to identify desired future transportation investments. The 2008 “Time Out for a New Tomorrow” led 500 attendees through a hand-held polling exercise along with speeches from Colorado’s Governor Bill Ritter, Senator Wayne Allard, and Senator Ken Salazar. -

The collaborative relationship provided an office-sharing opportunity to operate Party On Event Planning (see below). As Director, he oversaw the development of all marketing materials for the new engineering firm including development of the website, print brochures, and business cards. He led a series of successful marketing campaigns to bring targeted clients of new employees from past employers. He also managed all reporting to the firm’s private investors through periodic mailed newsletters and performance statements. Within three years, having quickly built market share in Colorado and Wyoming, Secure Consulting Engineers was successfully sold to CTL Thompson.

Environmental PlannerCity Of Fort Collins 1998 - 2001Upon completion of his Masters of Environmental Studies, Mr. Fodge joined the City of Fort Collins Natural Resources Department to provide air quality-related planning and public involvement. He managed two grants used to develop air quality rebate programs towards the purchase of engine block heaters (to prevent cold-start emissions) and electric lawn mowers. He also oversaw a study that measured the air quality improvement by repairing the highest emitting vehicles in Colorado’s fleet.Mr. Fodge organized numerous public involvement events including Earth Day 2000 (at CSU), the Alternative Fuel Car Show, and an automobile maintenance event (Car Care) with local mechanics during National Car Care Month. He also led the recruitment of the first businesses to the successful Climatewise energy audit and efficiency program.
