Working in the Development Programmes Department, I have been an EU research project coordinator from the years of ACTS (4th Framework) till the 6th Framework. I worked for the Technical Management, Design and Implementation of European Commission funded research projects in the area of Distributed Systems, Service Management and Security. Starting from C++, Java from its birth years, and moving towards CORBA, CORBA Component Model and JEEE distributed systems implementations, I have designed, developed and contributed, with waterfall or agile software methodologies, to a number of research ideas and niche INTRACOM commercial projects. I have presented in FITCE Europe and Eurescom conferences and have been a contributor to a number of research publications. • Research Areas: Service Management (TINA, NMS), Distributed Systems (CORBA, CCM, JEEE), Security (PKI, IPsec, Mobile IP)• Research Projects: Internode, Montage, Hynode, ACTRANS, Infowin, Infobridge, Eurescom P910• Commercial Projects: Mediation platform for the IP TV 3-play product suite, eTendeting & eProcurement pilot web service for the ministry of Commerce.• Other interesting Activities: Publication of the “Mobile Communications Issue” in cooperation with the DGXIII Office -European Commission (EC) Mobile Domain, containing contributions from GSM MoU, ETSI BRAN, UMTS Forum and EC project leaders, covering all major Mobile Evolution aspects.
