Serve on the senior staff of the 178th Wing as Inspector General (Q), and co-author of creating the organization's Strategic Plan. Also lead the organization's continuous process improvement programs.My ultimate duty is to correct systematic, programmatic, or procedural weaknesses of the organization and corresponding teams, and to ensure resources are used effectively and efficiently; resolve problems affecting the Air Force mission promptly and objectively; create and sustain an atmosphere of trust so that issues can be objectively and fully resolved without retaliation or fear of reprisal; and assist commanders in instilling confidence in Air Force leadership.I have sole legal responsibility to investigate allegations of reprisal under the Military Whistleblower’s Protection Act, and ensure the concerns of Air Force active-duty, Reserve, and Guard members, civilian employees, family members, retirees, and the best interests of the Air Force are addressed through objective factfinding.

Competitively selected as Commander of the 178th Wing's Force Support Squadron, in charge of more than 50 officers and enlisted troops who provide a multitude of critical services to 1000+ civilians and military members of organization. One of the most complex organizations within the Air Force, I led the team responsible for education and training, recruiting and retention, equal opportunity, military employment, and more. My responsibilities included strategic planning and executing concepts, principles, operations, programs and practices across all of these domainsSpearheaded an unprecedented transformation effort, utilizing best practices across the private-, public-, and non-profit sectors in order to deliver an unparalleled customer service experience. Projects were informed by the latest in behavioral economics insights, agile, lean/six sigma, and other leading process improvement techniques to improve both external customer facing outcomes as well as internal mechanisms.As the senior-ranking officer, I mentored and lead both the enlisted and officer workforce, and was ultimately responsible for their entire military experience and managed their top-down professional development as senior rater and supervisor.Located at Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport in Springfield, Ohio, this base is one of the most complex and historic units within the Air National Guard. We currently provide direct 24-hour operational support to the United States Air Force Air Combat Command, National Air and Space Intelligence Center, and the Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency.

Lecturing graduate students within the University of Dayton's Master of Public Administration and Master of Business Administration programs. Within the MPA program, my current and former courses include “Introduction to Public Policy” and “Media and Government". This course examines the ever-changing relationships and complex questions surrounding the way media impacts public policy and government, as well as the processes through which people make political choices in the United States. It is organized around the media's role in policy-making and what effect it has on the institutions and mechanisms of government. Less commonly investigated, though arguably just as important, is seeking to know what effect government has on the media in today's society.In the MBA program, I teach online within our award-winning MBA@Dayton program, my current courses being both Intro and Advanced Organizational Behavior. Both courses ask students to investigate the complex interplay of leadership studies, culture, conflict management, negotiation, and behavioral sciences, and how these relate to organizational outcomes.

Efforts included developing and managing various short- and long-term efforts to attract and expand aerospace-related businesses in the region, support high-level strategic plans concerning Wright-Patterson AFB and Springfield ANGB, and undertaking novel initiatives to ensure Dayton is a vital national player in the Unmanned Aerial Systems and Cyber realms.The DDC is an award-winning nonprofit economic development organization, dedicated to growing the 14-county Dayton region.
