Three Fold Farm
Hamilton, Ma
Breeder of the endangered Canadian Horse. Boarding, breeding and import services. Free range chicken and duck eggs, maple syrup, honey, and compost..As a child, my family would take "rescue" horses from the track for riding and rehab. My grandfather, an orthopedic surgeon, successfully set several horses' legs, something that was unheard of in the 50s, 60s and 70s. While not again rideable, the horses were pasture sound and could live out a decent retired life.I started riding at four and came up through the hunter/jumpers until middle school. I took a longer than expected hiatus from horses through high school and college and came back to them in my 20s, taking up dressage, competitive trail riding, and cross country jumping. I took over the family farm in Hamilton, MA in 1996, offering full board. After ten years of running a successful boarding business, we now offer available stalls for rough boarding. It was during this time that I started breeding quarter horses. We retired our foundation mare in 2008 and started researching other breeds for our program. The Canadian Horse appealed to me as they have wonderful conformation and movement, are fantastic movers and jumpers, are beautiful, smart, personable, and level-headed but still spunky. And, they are a critically endangered breed; so the idea of helping bring back such a wonderful horse really appealed to me.Our "boutique" type breeding program allows us to offer foals that are handled daily, well-adjusted, with early ground training so buyers walk away with a well behaved and ready-to-learn horse. For more information about our farm and what horses we have for sale or for breeding, please see our webpage www.threefoldfarm.com or our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/foldx3
