Ranging from automating monthly management accounts production to building data-feeds from HR information systems into Payroll systems and mining multi-year transaction histories to identify trends and define new service offers.- Project to rearchitect and automate invoice capture and accounts payable processing for aircraft financing.- Managed a team of software developers to automate multi-country payslip and tax document distribution using an Azure based pay/tax document distribution platform that leveraged SSO and MFA capabilities to simplify user authentication and maximise data security and GDPR compliance.- Leveraged Microsoft Power BI and Power Query to eliminate manual accounting tasks and build an efficient dataflow to support automated ledger postings and delivered summary management reporting packs with the capability for drill-down to detailed transactions if/when required.- Design of accounting procedures and transaction flows for a provider of commercial loans to support customisation an off-the-shelf accounting package to record loan approvals, drawdowns, interest calculations and repayments and in structured ledgers with embedded internal controls and reporting.- Project to design and implement an internal controls and data security framework to meet regulatory requirements and achieve external accreditation standards (GDPR, ISAE3402, ISO27001).- Analysis of historical tax data to support a substantial tax refund. Analysis in Power BI of 1.6 million historical data records to validate individual PAYE/PRSI treatments and build a multi-year reconciliation to provide the detail necessary to make a successful refund claim.
