I manage an org of data science & analytics managers, data scientists, analysts, and data science tech leads responsible for the products that make up the majority of Square’s revenue & user base.

I reported into the general manager of Square Retail; managing a team of data scientists, analysts, data engineers, and a data science tech lead. My team conducted exploratory analysis, ETL pipeline development, data instrumentation, business intelligence/dashboarding, hypothesis testing, causal inference, and machine learning for Square's Retail product. I'm a freelance music maker on the nights and weekends, with a focus on composition and performance of vocal music.

I conducted analyses that drove shifts in Axial’s product roadmap and core operations; I piloted a self-service BI program where I oversaw a team of embedded business analysts who built basic Tableau dashboards atop Axial's data warehouse; and I translated business requests to Axial's data engineer and quality assured his ETLs to ensure our schema design supported the needs of the executive team. I also spent some time on the sales & account management team responsible for bringing CEOs onto Axial.

I sat on the right-hand team of one of the firm’s executives in a pseudo-business intelligence role, with a dash of internal consulting. My reports and analyses were reviewed regularly by the CEO and other BlackRock executives.
