After completing my Associates of Arts in Sociology, I decided to take an 18 months break and serve a mission for the LDS church. I was fortunate to be assigned to the Philippines, Manila Mission. Throughout this experience, I mastered speaking the language (Tagalog) through personal trainings and encounters with the people. During that time, the President of the mission assigned me to be a training missionary for 5 missionaries from the Philippines, Australia, Tonga, Samoa and Indonesia. After 6 months of training, I moved to become a Sister Training leader overlooking more than 200+ sister missionaries from different countries and backgrounds. In completion of my 18 months mission experience, I took a job as Junior Sales Assistance for a jewelry shop while applying for BYU-H. I graduated at BYU-H with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work along with minor courses such as Pacific Island Studies and Political Science. I am now currently employed as a Career Development Specialist Intern for BYU-H.
