I was responsible for the Data Science team @ Gavagai, including day-to-day work, feedback/upskilling, hiring/interviewing, planning and execution of work etc. The team's tasks included finding solutions to business problems using data, machine learning, and data science; as well as maintaining the language resources required for training and evaluating, e.g., sentiment models in multiple languages.I was also responsible for leading the work on the technical strategy regarding the Gavagai Explorer in order to make the most of new and emerging technologies such as Large Language Models and advanced Natural Language Processing.

During my time at FOI and RISE, a held a part-time position at Gavagai as an advisor to the Data Science team and company management in NLP, Machine Learning, and Data Science.

I held multiple positions and responsibilities: member of the board; defined strategic business goals and worked with business development; pre-sales with extensive customer contact; supervised interns and academic degree students; continuously contributed to the development of algorithms, software and core services. I worked the entire tech stack, from Enterprise Java and databases, to web applications. Responsible for developing and operating Gavagai’s real-time data collection, ingesting millions of web posts per day in 45 languages.

At Recorded Future, I was responsible for the research, design, implementation, and employment of a framework for realizing user-defined event extractors, with the purpose of facilitating the extraction of factual information from text.
