Since 2008, Ajoke Ayisat Afolabi foundation (AAAF) has been at the fore of promoting empowerment and inclusion for widows, orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), as well as persons with disabilities. AAAF recognizes that socio-cultural practices against women and particularly widows, contribute to their vulnerability to a number of health and economic conditions, and therefore, specifically target them as programme beneficiaries. AAAF Key thematic intervention covers (i) education, (ii) economic empowerment, (iii) health and (iv) inclusion for women, particularly, widows, persons with disabilities, orphans and vulnerable children (OVC).
