This allowed Argonne to track and manage the location of computer equipment and increase the security of their network. It also allows the users to more accurately specify their equipment and software needs for new machine builds.

Member of a team that designed a web application, Intergrated Host Warehouse (IHW), used to update, track and monitor computers, servers, printers and computer components deployed within Argonne. This allowed Argonne to track and manage the location of computer equipment and increase the security of their network. It also allows the users to accurately specify their equipment and software needs for new machine builds. Educate and support IHW users. Member of a team that designed a web application, used to update, track and monitor cyber security threats. The goal of the project is to share the information of cyber threats to all those that are part of the project. This was achieved with the use of Python Django Framework, Perl and PHP. Did research into cyber threat trending and monitoring dark net traffic.

Designed and supported the research lab used by the physic students. Deployed Mac OS X Leopard and setup a 10 computer Xgrid cluster that allowed users to run complicated mathematical algorithms easily and quickly. Wrote python scripts, using threads implemented by MPICH, to test the cluster computing capabilities.Supported the physic student’s lab using Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP clients.

August 2008 ­ May 2009 Designed and supported the research lab used by the physic students. Encyclopedia Britannica, Internship, Chicago IL., August 2006 ­ December 2006 Migrated the old formatted web content from SGML to Frame Maker by writing perl scripts that renamed files and pulled information out of web content files. Entered data into content documents using Frame Maker 5 and 6. Automated a manual process of reviewing data, modifying fields, copying and renaming files using perl that saved time and effort for the employs.

Built and repaired bicycles. When the shop got busy, I would also do sales and help customers locate the products they were looking for.

Worked on writing small scripts to do simple but big tasks.
