Architected a calendar analytics application featuring data visualization, machine learning, and Slack bots.Managed a team of four engineers.Set up conversion funnels with Segment and Mixpanel and A/B testing with Optimizely.Worked extensively with React, Redux, LESS, TypeScript, and OCaml.

Converted 50K lines of legacy jQuery code in a Chrome extension with little to no testing into a React / Flux (and later Redux) application with Mocha for unit tests and continuous integration.Automated a previously manual front-end build process using Gulp, Browserify, and later Webpack.Refactored monolithic CSS into a modular and customizable component-based styling system.

Developed Filegraph, an online file organizer best described as “Trello meets Dropbox, but for Lawyers”. The product featured a real-time UI, revision control, and full-text search. It was built with Meteor.js, ElasticSearch, and MongoDB.

Conducted due diligence, drafted documents, and advised on company formations, recapitalizations, conversions of foreign companies to U.S. companies, preferred stock and debt financings, and mergers and acquisitions.

Developed software to help legal researchers categorize large numbers of court cases based on types of legal claims.The software consisted of (1) Python code that used regular expressions and simple pattern matching to take a first pass on classifying the case, and (2) a web-based interface written using Django and jQuery that highlighted relevant phrases in each case, thereby allowing the user to confirm or correct the classification without having to read the entire case. The UI featured auto-scrolling and a large number of keyboard shortcuts to enable users to process cases as quickly as possible.

Conducted due diligence and drafted documents for web start up financing.Drafted FOIA confidential treatment request to the SEC.Researched cloud services and the Store Communications Act, iOS and Android privacy issues, and the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.Assisted with representation of domestic violence victim.

Worked with Professor Brian Carver, researched first sale doctrine issues involving LG v. Quanta and Omega v. Costco.

Developed a “Yelp for South Africa” prototype optimized for mobile-first, bandwidth-constrained environments. Backend was built using Django for the web server, a MySQL database, and Sphinx for full-text search.

Co-founded a Y Combinator-backed startup that developed a browser-based game described as “Risk, but on maps of college campuses”.Implemented pathfinding algorithms, Google Maps integrations, and an event-driven concurrent server to support real-time gameplay.Worked with Ruby on Rails, Django, web.py, Google App Engine, and Twisted Python.

Developed strategic partnerships with related organizations.Responsible for communication with delegates to conferences organized by this group.
