Hi everyone, I thought I should add to my linkedin profile that I started a part-time job at the Links Hotel in Montrose. There is a lot of jobs I haven't added to linkedin and many other social media websites due to confidentiality agreements and the nature of the jobs I have done throughout my life have been via self-employment or via agency work.However there is nothing stopping me from letting you all know that I was offered this job by a friend who needed help. And due to my health and long recovery period I needed something easy that I can do without burning myself out and damaging my health more. Many of the jobs I have done in the past have had very poor Health and Safety which is the main reason I wish to be 100% self employed unless I find an employer that will not over work me for very little rewards in poor environments and conditions. But I have always tried to go into most jobs with the aim to make changes for the better and grow my employers business and modernize them along with improving their work conditions and team mental health.This job allows me to focus on myself as I work alone most of the time and do not need to worry about management or team dynamics. Simply it is a none stressful job. It is a physical job as I have lots of duties to keep me busy and it passes the time. I do also have to deal with guest, chat with them, help them, serve them and look after them. This makes me feel good that I am entertaining, hosting and helping people have a great time with no hassle or worries.I am solely responsible for the security and safety of the guests, which is something I enjoyed when I was younger as a DJ, Doorman and Chinese Take-Away Server.I am not sure how long I will work here as I am still doing self-employment work. I am studying new technologies and looking for new opportunities. But I have to plan what I do very carefully so not to over do it and burn myself out. I am a workaholic for those that do not know me.

I moved to Holland to work for an Agency that supplied UK tradesmen to European Companies on Contract and Temporary basis. Here I work for Citroen for my first month to cover for Dutch Mechanics sick leave. I was then placed for a couple of weeks in a German workshop dismantling military vehicles for refurbishment. Then I was moved to Mercedes where I spent 1 year working in a variety of workshops carrying out all types of jobs, from servicing cars to the manufacturing and refurbishment of HGVs and Highway Construction vehicles. Ending my final year in Holland as a Workshop Lead Mechanic and Manager. I loved working in Holland except for not having much time off to socialize due to my 2-4 hour compute to work each day but the people I worked with were very friendly making me feel welcomed and sometimes a part of their family which made working 6 days a week a pleasure and the long drive home each night worth it.
