As the current head of Cybersecurity Oversight and ICT & Data Governance at the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), I bring over 17 years of robust experience in technology and security management across critical sectors, including government, defense, transport, and power. My career includes being the Agency CISO at the Prime Minister's Office, where I was responsible for the overarching information security function, providing me with a unique perspective at the national and government level.My professional journey is marked by a strong track record in various facets of cybersecurity, including ICT governance, risk & compliance, strategy & operations, business continuity, and project management, spanning both public and private sectors. I am proud to be the principal author of CSA's Security-by-Design Framework and the first edition of the Cybersecurity Code of Practice, and played a pivotal role in operationalising Singapore's Cybersecurity Act 2018.I firmly believe in positioning information security and ICT governance as key business enablers, helping organizations to leverage technology to maximize opportunities and minimize risks. My approach to cybersecurity is deeply influenced by a comprehensive understanding of business operations, enhanced by an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business & Technology.I am also humbled to have attended the 3rd run of CSA's Cybersecurity Strategic Leadership Programme in 2024 that aims to strengthen local cybersecurity leaders’ strategic and leadership capabilities to influence strategy, drive organizational cybersecurity posture and resolve cybersecurity challenges through innovation and partnerships.My qualifications include a plethora of certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, CDPSE, GCIH, CIPM, CCSK, ITIL, COBIT, and ISMS 27001 / BCMS 22301 Implementor, among others.
