Contract Simulator Instructor
CurrentContract Simulator Instructor (CSI) responsibilities include but not limited to: Proficient in conducting all aspects of the Fleet Replacement Detachment, Cherry Point and Fleet Squadron syllabi for flight training on the KC-130J flight simulator.- Flight training will include but not limited to aircraft systems, operating procedures, tactical employment of the KC-130J aircraft which will include briefs and debriefs of training events. - Assist in teaching, updating and maintenance of related curriculum syllabi which will include but not limited to: Instructor lesson guides, Simulator Scenarios, computer based training, classroom lectures.- Evaluate and record student training/mission performance; evaluate and record trainer performance in accordance with established criteria.- Assist in training device testing/evaluation associated with the introduction of new weapon systems or Engineering Change Proposals as they affect the training system.A Contract Simulator Instructor (CSI) for the KC-130J must be or have been a Naval Air Training Operating Procedures Standardization (NATOPS) qualified Aircraft Commander of the KC-130J Aircraft within the preceding five (5) years or have been a simulator instructor within the preceding five (5) years for the KC-130. A CSI must have a minimum of one (1) Fleet tour and one thousand (1000) flying hours in the KC-130J aircraft. A CSI must successfully complete the NATOPS Open Book, Closed Book, and boldface exams and annually renew qualification with the scheduling authority. CSI shall understand and demonstrate knowledge of: KC-130J mission; Crew procedures; Tactics (e.g. Night Vision Devices (NVD) and threat systems); Fleet Replacement Pilot (FRP) syllabi; and ability to Instruct and utilize JMPS system is desired.
