Focused on Environment Automation and CI/CD.Proposed, designed, and implemented Skytap Region Information service to consolidate information used to deploy and maintain Skytap regions (Django, Python, PostgreSQL). Stabilized Skytap environment automation by becoming familiar with an extensive code base, fixing long-standing bugs, and engaging with other teams to resolve issues in product code.- Previous to joining, dev and test builds had been failing for over 6 months. Builds were stabilized in 6 weeks.- Transitioned codebase from Python 2.7 to Python 3.- Moved plaintext secrets to internal Hashicorp Vault.- Reduced transient failures in dev/test environment builds fourfold by simplifying environment automation code-base.Designed and implemented an internal package management system using Artifactory. - Implementation included HA cluster in one DC with cache hosts in each DC to reduce load on the primary cluster. All hosts managed via Puppet.Designed and implemented an ISO/PCI compliant AuthPriv logging service, residing in Kubernetes, to securely store log events in Splunk Cloud.Led Skytap first coordinated college campus recruiting efforts as the sole representation from the engineering organization at University career fair.Designed an internship program and mentored our team intern.
