    My roles as an OPS Technician on this project has been the following;-Track down and communicate with people who might provide insight/materials relevant to our project-Search and read through academic papers to find pertinent information for our project.-Help compile a comprehensive annotated bibliography of all this information.-Transcribe and take notes on both major meetings and the ten focus groups for the project.-Help review rough draft surveys/presentations/documents for other team members. The Florida Sea Grant project will create a comprehensive communication plan for residents, visitors, and businesses for HABs occurrences. More information is available at this link. https://www.flseagrant.org/redtideplan/ The specific objectives of the project will: -Compile a review of current red tide communication and outreach products at the local, regional, and statewide level; -Evaluate the public’s perception on the value and ease of use of existing red tide communication resources; -Evaluate red tide information needs and wants, assess how demographics influence how red tide information is received and why certain delivery modes are preferred; -Develop a communication strategy for Florida red tides comprising short-term event responses and guidance towards a long-term educational campaign, with both approaches using multilingual and multimodal outreach materials.
