Senior Geophysicist In Land Acquisition R&D
- Conducted a broad range of research work on seismic acquisition methods, recording systems and sensor technologies. Substantial involvement in influential projects such as:(1) promoting the use of single long sweeps to improve vibrator acquisition productivity,(2) commercializing and implementing low-frequency sweeps to improve seismic bandwidth,(3) application and analysis of simultaneous random sweep methods,(4) evaluating and implementing slip-sweep methodologies for application in North America,(5) portable source development. - Collaborated with survey design staff, seismic acquisition operations department, and data library groups in survey parameter selection.- Assisted clients in survey startup by providing test plans for sweep generation, directing field sweep tests, performed real-time data analysis, and provided recommendations for final survey parameters. - Assisted land crew field operations on the quality control of seismic data and on various problem solving issues. - Processed 2D lines and 3D volumes to assess the feasibility of new acquisition technologies, recording systems and sensor types; provided recommendations for processing teams.
