Forest Stroud is a Staff Geologist at PPM Consultants, Inc.. Colleagues describe them as "During the summer of 2015, I had the opportunity to work with Forest during a field camp expedition in Colorado and Utah examining fault formations, Pseudotacholyte, and developing geological maps based off of observations in tandem with peer reviewed literature on the sites in question. Forest demonstrated acute observational skills, a co-operative spirit, and an eagerness to understand and evaluate obstacles in front of him. Even with the added stress of an extended stay out in the field, Forest remained in high spirits where others would have faulted and was quick to make amends during confrontations. He also demonstrated an advanced understanding of trigonometry necessary to mapping areas that were inaccessible on foot which facilitated the creation of more detail maps including the location of faults which were overlooked by others on the expedition. Unlike other students at Middle Tennessee State University, Forest Stroud through his field camp experience in Colorado, gained advanced skills with the brunton compass that would make him a superior candidate for field work over his fellow graduates.
