Supervise timber cruise contractors: create and supply cruise maps using GIS mapping, discuss and review the contract field manual with new cruisers, conduct check cruises, verify that target requirements are met and provide feedback to cruisers, process collected data- scan for anomalies using custom software and correct errors, prepare cruise data for inventory upload Provide assistance in the layout of Timber Harvest Plans: flag boundaries, mark timber, assist in data entry for records of logging.

Timber cruising using variable radius plot sampling, collect field data for later analysis: Tree count, diameter, height, log count, taper percentage, crown ratio, canopy cover, damage class and percent board defect.
