Through sales and leadership roles, I have found dynamic ways to connect with people and make the most of my time spent with them.In working at Express Employment Professionals, I've learned how to identify skills in people and connect them with relevant work, often providing training, continual support, and HR-related services.During my time with Circle Ten Council, I mastered skills in creating buy in among volunteer stakeholders that drove growth in membership, fundraising, and program quality. When working with volunteers to pursue organizational goals, I found relationship management, communication, and understanding to be the most important skills that connected me with both the adult volunteers and youth members of the Boy Scout program. This connection is what allowed me to lean on their support to improve multiple aspects of the program in my area of management.In the multiple positions I've held at Fusion Academy, I was able to sharpen my relationship building and communication skills further. I worked as an educator to teach diverse students using highly customizable and personalized methods. As a department head, I continued teaching, but also led a team of teachers to improve their own performance, classroom quality, and professional development. As the Assistant Director, I managed the entire teacher team from interviewing and hiring to training to professional development and quality control. I was tasked with improving metrics on campus in terms of operational standards and team culture, both of which were the greatest tests I'd faced as a professional. Over the course of a year, I oversaw a nearly complete turnover of the teacher team and used my skill as an educator to properly train new and old teachers in how to raise quality and meet the standards expected of them by the organization.In addition to managing the teacher team as Fusion Plano's assistant director, I also interacted directly with students and parents to ensure they were receiving the quality service for which they had come to us. This often meant solving problems in classrooms, negotiating solutions with parents of students, and making executive decisions in how to correct errors and ensure customer satisfaction. Compassion, communication, and celebration of success allowed me to cultivate strong relationships with the families of Fusion Plano which in turn created a trust in our organization and it's commitment to quality education.
