Hi! Nice to meet you! I'm Forrest. You could say I'm a jack of many trades. Whatever job I put my mind to I strive to do it well. People say I am very persistent and hardworking. At times I can be a little too thorough. Working with records and numbers is like a hobby to me. Though I may not have much experience outside of my own personal budget, I have learned much from basic accounting courses in both HS and college and from working as an operations manager for a small business owner in the field of logistics. I've worked side by side with my current employer striving to lower cost and increase profits. I've worked on a collaborative team either managing or participating in projects such as the creation of training programs and creation and implementation of delivery route design.I gained a proficient knowledge of the Spanish language during my time as a missionary for my church in Argentina and in classes and at home with a previous marriage to a native Spanish speaker. I have experience in translation and interpretation from preparing documents for immigration services and translating product information labels and informative brochures. I have also had 2 years of formal education with translation and interpretation simulation including preparations for medical and court settings. I have worked side by side with a variety of Spanish speakers helping them become effective participants in my previous employment opportunities. I enjoy opportunities to converse about the Latino/Hispanic diversity and topics related to their culture, struggles of assimilation and immigration. As a side hobby and hopeful side hustle I do have an eye for poor grammar and poorly worded writing. I strive to make my own writing ledgible, understandable and appealing and if I can be of service to others as an editor I am open to the opportunity. I am of the strong opinion that effective communication will solve a lot of the problems individuals face in working for and running a business and also in various other aspects of life. Helping people overcome the communication barrier (whether it be a language or idea) to experience a better life is a passion of mine.Apart from my professional experiences, I enjoy nature: taking hikes, biking, traveling to different parts. This world is full of surprises and I love exploring it with my family.
