CurrentIs a professional engineer and was named Quality Professional of the Year for 2011 by Quality Magazine and in 2012 was awarded alumni of the year by Missouri University of Science and Technology. In 2013, was presented the Leadership Award at the Lean & Six Sigma World Conference. In 2004 received the prestigious Crosby Medal from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) for the book, Implementing Six Sigma. Has served on the Board of Advisors for the University of Texas Center for Performance Excellence from 2003-2012.Created the Integrated Enterprise Excellence (IEE) business management system, which is a methodology that goes beyond Lean Six Sigma and the Balanced Scorecard. IEE provides an enhancement and integration of Business Process Management (BPM) techniques. IEE is described in an authored five-book series. IEE provides management advancements in the utilization and integration of scorecards, strategic planning, process improvement, and Business Process Management (BPM) techniques.Have author thirteen books and over 150 articles on business management and improvement. Are President and CEO of Smarter Solutions, Inc., which in 1992 founded, after a 24 year career with IBM. Began career with IBM in development and later transferred to the product test organization. Within these organizations he became very interested in the benefits derived from the wise use of statistical techniques. From 1980 to 1992 he served IBM in applying "Six Sigma and Lean" process improvement methodologies to testing, development, manufacturing, and service organizations.Has conducted numerous Lean Six Sigma workshop/coaching sessions, as well as Master Black Belt, Black Belt, Green Belt, Champion, and Executive training sessions, throughout the world. Through consulting, training, and application of developed software helps organizations achieve more customers and cash.
