I did a wide variety of tasks since we were a small startup. From pushing for and ultimately helping steer a company pivot to biz-dev, contract negotiation, grant work, head of sales and sponsorships, and lead the development of an on board diagnostics and communication device for the Nissan Leaf.

I personally created 16 patent applications and was part of the brainstorming team that created 200 patents in 6 months. The ideas were based on a potential new material with very low conductivity.

I worked mostly in the energy storage system division.-Making hardware for the connection and packaging of lithium-ion cells in the battery.-Testing various elements of pack cooling, thermal runaway suppression, the auxiliary power supply, and water ingress.-Building the first 10 pre-production battery packs on the factory floor in Asia.-Designing tooling.

-Designed system layouts for $1-4mm high throughput screening (HTS) machines. -Member of the custom engineering team.-designed cooling and environmental controls for HTS machines-Did on-site customer installs of custom hardware at both Pfizer and Novartis.-worked with foreign vendors.-Helped design and critique new products.

I worked in a variety of areas of the business as a college student at various times over several years. I did mold making, fiberglass work, mechanical assembly, mechanical testing to failure. Swimming with animatronic swordfish. Developed the process and created roughly 100 expanded foam Swordfish carcasses in one week. I worked on projects for Free Willy.

CNC machinist. Learned programming in G-code. Machine Setup. Part design, fabrication and assembly. Built an interactive trade show booth. Learned to Tig Weld aluminum and steel. Designed hydraulic shocks. Tested front forks for stiffness and fatigue and redesigned for strength. Worked on a fully hydraulic drive bicycle. Placed second in a tandem downhill.
