Licensed Acupuncturist
CurrentI fully embrace both western and eastern medicine and am a proponent of integrative wellness across the spectrum. My previous career was in design and I found acupuncture through my own healthcare. Acupuncture is as much an art form as Chinese medicine is an ancient medical paradigm. I have dedicated my life to the arts, now incorporating health and healing. My clients have shared with me that I am compassionate, thoughtful, thorough, and kind when it comes to providing holistic treatments in a safe and tranquil space.I am a nationally certified Acupuncturist by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). I am also licensed by the North Carolina Acupuncture Licensing Board (NCALB License #2034), and the Tennessee Advisory Committee for Acupuncture (TNACA License #438) to practice in North Carolina and Tennessee respectively. I received my Master’s and Clinical Doctorate in acupuncture and Chinese medicine from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts based here in Asheville.I have had the opportunity to study with master Jeffrey Yuen, a world-renowned classical Chinese medicine practitioner and an 88th generation Daoist priest of the Yu Qing Huang Lao Pai (Jade Purity Yellow Emperor Lao Zi School), and a 26th generation lineage of the Quan Zhen Long Men Pai (Complete Reality Dragon Gate School).I also completed a clinical internship at the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Tianjin, China. I have 4,800+ hours of clinical and academic experience.I specialize in acute and chronic pain management, depression, anxiety, stress, addiction, insomnia, hypertension, gastrointestinal conditions, gynecological conditions, neuropathy, and diabetes.I currently offer acupuncture, electroacupuncture, auricular acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, gua sha (IASTM), cupping, tui na massage, moxibustion, and Chinese nutritional and nutraceutical therapy.
