Specifically, I am part of the TISA (Time Interpolation and Spacial Averaging) team.My main project aims to improve geostationary satellite measurements for use in the CERES SYN1deg product provided by the NASA Langley Research Center.My responsibilities and projects include:- Running and implementing data from DISORT, a numerical radiative transfer model.- Interpolation of geostationary satellite radiances for CERES temporal spacing- Geostationary data quality assurance.- Data management team member- Implementing process code deliveries with science improvements

Research Assistant
As a researcher at the University of Utah, I worked with active remote sensing satellite data from CloudSat and CALIPSO to investigate cloud tops and cloud types and their geometric distributions within ISCCP-defined cloud types. Often ISCCP-defined cloud top pressure and optical depth bins are utilized in GCMs (Global Climate Models). It was necessary to demonstrate that vertical profiles of clouds within these types were understood to be a radiative consequence of myriad hydrometeor levels.
