As head of the marketing and communications function, I led a team of five in the delivery of integrated marketing communications to the association's members, government stakeholders, and the public.Using a blend of owned, paid and earned channels (including PR, print, email marketing, social media, video content, online display and paid search) my high performing team successfully supported a wide range of stakeholders in an annual calendar of communications.As a member of the leadership team, my role involved developing key messages and regularly writing and editing PR materials, member messages, speech and video scripts, the FPA Annual Report and editorial oversight of the monthly magazine, Money & Life.

Working at the FPA (Financial Planning Association of Australia), I implemented integrated communications initiatives that engaged both members and consumers. My responsibilities included member retention and acquisition campaigns, managing day-to-day trade and consumer PR initiatives in conjunction with the FPA’s PR agency, ensuring message consistency, eDM campaigns, monthly metrics reporting and overseeing the production of Financial Planning magazine - from editorial planning to printing and distribution.

I was appointed by International corporate bank Landsbanki to spearhead marketing communications for the bank's UK operation. My responsibilities included developing the bank’s first ever UK website, leading the user experience, information architecture, site navigation and visual development of the project.During my time at the bank, I also led the development of a broad range of marketing collateral, for both print and online usage. The collateral included sales brochures, client case studies, business development presentations and a key messaging deck.

I was appointed by R3 (The Association of Business Recover Professionals) to work in the events and communications function. My role covered:- Organise and promote an annual calendar of events to the association’s membership base, from education seminars to large corporate dinners.-Develop a suite of marketing materials to promote the events program, including website content, brochures and email campaigns to drive registrations.-Develop and sell sponsorship packages for national events, and implement the sponsorship arrangements to ensure sponsorship obligations were fulfilled.

During my time with IBM (UK), I drove a number of communications initiatives, including:-Work with the financial services business development team to develop key messaging and sales copy for client education seminars and VIP dinners.-Brief creative agencies and mailing houses on campaign requirements, managing the production process from design to distribution.-Monitor and protect usage of the IBM brand across all financial services campaigns, ensuring brand guidelines were followed by all internal and external stakeholders.-Co-ordinate IBM presence and marketing collateral at key industry trade shows around London.-Write the monthly internal newsletter for the UK financial services solutions team, keeping the wider team updated on upcoming marketing initiatives.-Co-ordinate RSVPs to IBM’s Annual General Meeting in Europe, and support the marketing manager in the internal communications for the project.
