This involves accurate handling of payment information, good communication with other associates (especially those in security), maintaining a professional and friendly dialogue with customers, and the instruction of new associates. It also requires a lot of adaptability, as you are not guaranteed the same post for every event you work. You may be given an entirely new location to command, and you are required to quickly digest and effectively execute the best method to organize that location.

Like any large home improvement and hardware, the Home Depot has many products that everyone has questions about. My job as a sales associate in the flooring department was to help customers find whatever they were looking for, whether it was in the flooring department or not. I was also able to give advice on how to approach a project, such as installing interlocking flooring, waterproofing a bathroom, or designing a living room from the carpet up.

A summer job I worked two years in a row in which 5 other students from Audubon Jr/Sr High School and I worked with the school's technology director and a supporting teacher to organize, update, and reimage the entire district's computer system. We also organized and distributed over 1,300 Chromebook devices to students for the upcoming online learning period.I handled most of the organization of the Chromebook distribution, including cataloging devices by serial number and assigning students to specific devices. This was done using Google Spreadsheets. I was also involved in the physical distribution process and was on hand if and when there were any problems. Any and all issues were quickly resolved and cataloged for future reference.
