This is a job that I work seasonally, typically from May 10th until August 10th- Collaborate with one other dockhand to control a dock of 18 boats, where we see 50-75 customers a day take boats in and out of the harbor- Oftentimes had to close shifts alone where upwards of 6-8 boats would come back to dock between 10:00pm-10:30pm, had to problem solve, exhibit patience, and lead by example- Dedicated last summer to learning as much as possible about boats and improved immensely to the point where the dockmaster extended a promotion for this upcoming summer- Majority of the members at the club are wealthy individuals, made sure to network with these individuals for future internships and hefty tips by being able to provide high quality customer service day in and day out
