Jun 2012 - 2013

Senior Production Geologist

Houston, Texas

In my five and a half years with the ExxonMobil (Exxon Company USA) Production Department, acquired an excellent technical background in the development of onshore petroleum reserves.Accomplished Production Geologist, developed fields in Oklahoma and Texas, worked range of stratigraphic and structural traps, in carbonate, clastic, and fractured reservoirs. Expert in finding new oil in old mature fields.Areas of expertise include Oklahoma’s Arkoma Basin (Spiro, Wapanucka), Central Uplift (Hunton, Red Fork, Simpson), and Anadarko Basin and Shelf (Morrow, Granite Wash). Also worked North Texas and the East Texas Basin (Woodbine, Austin, Pecan Gap).Prospected for new oil in two extremely mature Northeast Texas oil fields (Hawkins and Van) using high-angle drilling along fault planes. Drilled six successful wells with a combined E.U.R. of 600,000 new barrels of oil. Developed fractured Hunton gas play in South Central Oklahoma. As of June, 1990, my Exploration discoveries and Production wells had produced in excess of 750,000 barrels of oil. To combat increased forced-pooling activity which threatened Exxon’s operating rights in Eastern Oklahoma, I rapidly interpreted competitor activity and flagged potential court protests and additional development opportunities. Prepared and won several court protests in which I testified as an expert witness. When minor-interest lessors threatened to sue Exxon for non-development, I created maps and documentation to nullify the lawsuits, and decided whether to drill or promote the acreage. At no time was any acreage released, and several prospective locations were generated.Performed wellsite duties on approximately 50 onshore wells, evaluating the range of rock types, cutting core, and running well tests.

Exploration Geologist

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

In my nearly three and a half years at the ExxonMobil (Exxon Company USA) Exploration Department, acquired an excellent technical background in the exploration and analysis of onshore petroleum reserves.Successful Explorationist, including one deep Anadarko Basin Morrow gas and two shallow Hunton oil discoveries. Convinced Exxon Management to buy acreage in 33 prospective oil and gas lease outlines. After completing a variety of regional mapping projects, generated and sold to management 33 prospective outlines (over 100,000 acres) in Oklahoma’s Anadarko Basin and Shelf, Seminole Uplift, and Arkoma Basin.Areas of expertise include Oklahoma’s Arkoma Basin (Spiro, Wapanucka), Central Uplift (Hunton, Red Fork, Simpson), and Anadarko Basin and Shelf (Morrow, Granite Wash). Also worked North Texas and the East Texas Basin (Woodbine, Austin, Pecan Gap).Prospected for, drilled, and discovered two Hunton fields in Central Oklahoma, one of which has produced over 700,000 barrels of oil. One discovery was a pure stratigraphic trap; the other was a combination stratigraphic and structural trap.Responsible for proposing and drilling successful deep wildcat gas program in the Morrow of the Anadarko Basin. Recognized potential oil pay uphole in the Granite Wash.To combat increased forced-pooling activity which threatened Exxon’s operating rights in Eastern Oklahoma, I rapidly interpreted competitor activity and flagged potential court protests and additional development opportunities. Prepared and won several court protests in which I testified as an expert witness.
