Executing the product strategy plan for our Joint Architectural Design or (JAD) product that develops the architecture and engineering of reliable and scalable electric utility communications backbones and LANs (fiber, microwave-- IP/Ethernet, MPLS, SONET) to carry data between distributed automation devices and control centers. These projects also involve secure IP/Ethernet and TDM networks in transmission substations and integration with wireless access networks for distribution automation. The communications systems support multiple services, including SCADA, metering, protective relaying, VoIP, LMR, corporate data transport, NMS, and other smart grid applications. NERC CIP security standards are being utilized as a guide in the design of the networks.
