Fotis Plessas is one of the co-founders and CTO of NanoZeta Technologies ltd. He is professor at the University of Thessaly, Greece, where he is also a faculty member and founder of the Circuits and Systems lab.From 2013 till today he has cooperated several times with the Industrial Systems Institute (ISI/Athena RC), the Institute of Communications and Computer Systems (ICCS/NTUA), Theta Microelectronics, and HDL Design House. Within this context he has been involved in several projects with major US, European, and Middle East semiconductor companies which are covered by confidentiality agreements.From 2007 to 2013, he was with Analogies S.A, as a Senior Engineer and Manager responsible for the development of high-speed wired and wireless connectivity cores for SoC solutions (e.g. USB3.0 PHY, DDR2/3 PHY and 60GHz PLL). He has successfully taped out complex high frequency and high speed ASICs. Prior to Analogies he was involved in several research activities at the Applied Electronics Laboratory and the Industrial Systems Institute working mainly in the area of RF communication circuits and analog and mixed-mode circuit design. He has participated to a great number of European and National projects both research & development, in the areas of his research.His research interests focus on the design, analysis and implementation of Analog, RF and millimeter-wave circuits, PLL- and injection-locking- based frequency synthesizers. He has extensive experience in wired and wireless communication systems engineering. He is the author or co-author of more than 34 journal and conference papers and he also holds two patents. He is a member of IEEE, and IEEE CAS society and member of the founding committee of the Greece IEEE CE Society Chapter.He has received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Patras University, Greece.
